Celebrating Dr. Seuss with Color Sorting!

Happy Seuss Week! It is always so much fun celebrating Dr. Seuss in speech each year. My students enjoy reading the stories, making some crafts, and of course eating some Seuss-tastic snacks! I wanted to share one of the activities I have been using with my preschool kids this week.
I created this color sorting mat using the colors that are in the Goldfish Colors bag! I gave each student a laminated sorting mat and a cup full of fish. In addition to sorting, we worked on color names and counting, too! Of course this activity was not complete without a reading of Dr. Seuss' famous One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish!
You can download a free copy of this sorting mat in my Teachers Pay Teachers store here!
